Title: Rage

Wishlist Anticipation: Very High
Genre: Sandlot, First Person, Shooter
Developer: id
Publisher: Bethesda
Platform(s): Xbox 360, PS3, PC
Release Date: September 13, 2011
First Splash At: E3 2010

Why We Want It: Gameplay showcased displays what looks to be stellar action, excellent graphics, and tons of fun gameplay.

What Makes Us Nervous: No Co-op. Looks like a more graphically souped up version of Borderlands. Not necessarily a bad thing, but small chance they could just be riding BL's coat tails

Title: Bioshock Infinite

Wishlist Anticipation: Very High
Genre: Sandlot, First Person, Action-Shooter
Developer: Irrational Games
Publisher: 2K Games
Platform(s): Xbox 360, PS3, PC
Release Date: TBD
First Splash At: Gamespot

Why We Want It: The Bioshock series has done excellent in both previous installments. Taking the series to a fresh new and quite interesting setting (A floating city!!!) seems to breathe new life into an already excellent IP. All gameplay showcased so far just leaves our mouth watering more

What Makes Us Nervous: Nothing to this point.

Title: Saint's Row the 3rd

Wishlist Anticipation: Very High
Genre: Sandlot, Third Person, Shooter
Developer: Volition
Publisher: THQ
Platform(s): Xbox 360, PS3, PC
Release Date: Holiday season 2011
First Splash At: GameInformer

Why We Want It: Our favorite sandlot is back! With the wild and action pack gameplay in the last, we just cant wait to see what's in store this time. With tens of hours of gameplay and full campaign co-op in the last installment, we're hopeful there's tons of fun to enjoy once more.

What Makes Us Nervous: It's a sandlot... hate to say it but this genre has failed more than not. Plus the new industrial, and rundown setting could be a less attractive and varied setting than in previous games.

Title: Batman Arkham City

Wishlist Anticipation:  High
Genre: Sandlot, Third Person, Action
Developer: Rocksteady Studios
Publisher: Warner Bros. Interactive
Platform(s): Xbox 360, PS3, PC
Release Date: October 18, 2011
First Splash At: GameInformer

Why We Want It: The Batman AA title was very good.  We said here at the Faction that the next installment needs to be taken to a more open setting...and somebody listened! Gadgets stealth and smart gameplay looks to be taken to bigger heights in this sequel!

What Makes Us Nervous: The disbanded Eidos is no longer at the helm developing this title.  Warner Bros. interactive does not have a good track record sucking up studios to create games for them.  They destroyed the last two installments of the popular FEAR series. WB only got hold of this title after it was pretty much done. So they did not have much influence. Hopefully they don't with this one as well...

Title: Battlefield 3

Wishlist Anticipation: High
Genre: First Person, Shooter
Developer: DICE
Publisher: EA
Platform(s): Xbox 360, PS3, PC
Release Date: November 11, 2011
First Splash At: GameInformer

Why We Want It: Its f@#%'n Battlefield... why else?!? Ok, well the game showcased looks full of that good ole intense BF action.  The Bad Company series just elevated DICE's credebility within the community garnishing critic appeal over the recent CoD series - becoming the hardcore gamer's alternative. Mix in the reported destructable environments, and you got what looks to be a sure winner

What Makes Us Nervous: No Co-op. This honestly puzzles the hell out of us... This is also not a sequel to the Bad Company series.  So we hope we don't get a title with most of the focus on multiplayer, and a skimpy campaign.
